Athletics: Liu Xiang confident after Naitonal Games win;

Beijing, October 26,2009 - Fresh from winning his third straight national 110-metre hurdles title, China's Liu Xiang says he is hoping his injured foot is a thing of the past and that he is primed for a return to top form.

Liu powered his way to victory in Sunday night's final in front of 60,000 boisterous fans and a nationwide television audience, in his first race win since injury prevented him from running in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

"After I had surgery, I doubted myself and it was hard to see my future, but one race after another, I am gradually recovering and believing," an elated liu said in an interview with china central television.

"It's great to win the national championship three times. I am looking forward to a fourth win next time," he said, looking ahead to the next four-yearly national games in 2013.

The toughest year!

2009 is considered as a toughest year since millennium year, and has the biggest and worst rate of unemployment record in United States; many people are laid off (losing job), many companies are closed, many are losing home, and many of us are struggling right now! And because of this devastating crisis in America, families are sharing homes and living altogether, every family has no choice but to be dependent to one another; the parents or the siblings that have been losing homes are forced to live to their relatives, apparently every family and relatives are helping each other to survive.

As of now we don’t see any improvement yet; Georgia State has 17% rate of unemployment record, it is unusual because usually the highest rate of unemployment being recognized is only 7%, this is a very frustrating and devastating time in America. And now the administration is continuously spending and spending money that makes everybody tougher - not only to the people but to the government, nation and the country itself. When do they stop, till there is nothing left? What about those civilized/responsible people that are struggling and working hard to pay taxes and the people who are just sitting and waiting for welfare and never working hard because they are contented to receive the welfare that comes from the hard working people? Do you think it is fair? God says work people and I will help you. You are not blind and abnormal person; you have hands and feet to be able to work, then why won’t you work in your own? Fairness makes everybody PEACE! This kind of help must go to the deserving human being like if you are not eligible to work because you are sick, vulnerable, abnormal, and old- because if you give it to everybody, everyone will be lazy, and it has no good impact ever!

How safe are you today?

From the numerous crimes that have been happening in our towns, are you still feeling safe today? How safe your family, and kids at home? When we have heard the news on TV about the crimes happening in our town and neighborhood associated with economic crisis it makes us additional stress. It frustrates to think that we need to deal and endure such terrifying threat in our lives. What would we do?

Do you feel safe walking on the street? Many women have been raped and robbed while walking in the street; today we feel that everywhere is not safe. How would you defend yourself? Do you think you are safe with a gun? Perhaps you think so especially for woman who is vulnerable when it comes to a man strength. Majority think owning a gun in home or everywhere is the only weapon to get rid from risky people, everyone can defend their selves from bad people especially when at home (there is a tendency also that bad people would not try to harm you since you can defend yourself against them). I like the rule of American regarding this, and the good thing is criminals could not own a gun anymore (since they are risky). So the only civilized people can own it, (who only deserved to own a gun), hopefully this rule over hundreds years ago would not change. Because if it forbids criminals could still have their own guns (coz they can trick) and the civilized people would be pitiful because they can’t defend themselves anymore!

Mortgages:Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac

How they stand for? Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are called sponsored enterprises from government initially formed by the federal government. Fannie Mae is called for Federal National Mortgage Assn. in Washington, D.C. Freddie Mac is called for Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. in McLean, Va.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac buy mortgages from savings and loans, banks and other lenders to generate more cash for those lenders to make more home loan. Together they hold or guarantee $5.4 trillion of mortgages, about half of the nation's home loans outstanding. Apparently this two has no difference; they are both buying and guaranteeing loans. Let the lenders easily loan even for those who can hardly afford?

We heard that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are both in trouble, as home prices fell, so did the value of the mortgages the companies held, lowering their already small cushions of capital. As more of the loans they had backed went bad, they were no longer able to raise money from private sources. Is this one of the cause of US economy crisis? How is it affecting our economy crisis today? How will they fix it now?

Crimes in Southeast USA

In a new research the burglaries crime has increased in southeast USA, one of the states known for this is Georgia. Crimes in downtown Atlanta is increasing since the economic crisis begun, but the police and people itself are now very attentive in these criminals who are trying to steal things in the house, these criminals are ready to kill anybody if necessary to escape the crime, but the police are now started catching them and many of them are being caught and put behind bars. this is very frustrating; additional pressure and stress for us- people willing to kill to get what they want, however the people who are not doing crazy things and want to live with morals (civilized) are urge to kill also to protect their selves , of course they don’t want to be killed.

Since the crime is increasing- It means they don’t really want stop until they get caught. Hopefully, they are aware that if they don’t stop they will regret it at the end. We should always remember that “Whatever comes around, it goes around.”

Pacman Fight links to Heart Attack

Have you heard about of three people died for heart attack watching the fight of Manny recently against Ricky Hatton? I was stunned when I heard it! I have never heard it since he won the fight, I just heard it today. This is so shocking! Three people died because of the excitement watching Manny Pacquaio punching Ricky Hatton and knocking it down and beating it in just two rounds; because of that a Filipino 54 year old suffered a heart attack while watching the fight of Pacman against Hitman (Ricky Hatton), and the 67 years old tricycle driver, and 52 year old dropped dead. And confirmed 3 dies of heart attack while watching Manny! This is unbelievable news and sad to say that they took it seriously and personally; this is the most controversial history of Manny PAcman in boxing fighting! They are one of the millions fans of Manny who passed away adoring and supporting him till the end. Lesson: person that has history of heart disease must let their selves calm when watching some exciting events or just avoid watching it all. Heart Attack happens and occurs when too much excited.

Swine flu becomes worse

The swine flu is now spreading in southeast part of the US, and recently it announced that the virus is now in state of Georgia; it spreads badly all over the states. And not only in the US it is now continue walking to the other continents, if you heard the news the swine flu is now spreading in Europe and let’s do hope that it won’t continue spreading to the other places where the swine flu is absence.

If the swine flu continuously spreads all over the world then we will be having a global health problem, which is dreadful for all of us. The experts say in few weeks it going to be worse in United States since the virus is already presence. In Georgia there are 4 people infected and confine, and recently 10 in South Carolina, and some in Florida. It is a scariest disease next with SARS! Spreads quickly in un-expected time and place.

Security Patrol in Grant Park Atlanta

We are so thankful to all GPSP’s ( Grant Park Security Patrol) new and continuing members, the patrol has been to make a real difference over the past few weeks in terms of decreasing the number of burglaries and other crimes in the neighborhood. GPSP’s Atlanta police department officers have been out and about 40 hours a week, and it has paid off. For instance, during one patrol, a GPSP officer stopped two juveniles who were acting suspiciously, and one has since admitted to a December burglary in Grant Park.

But, however we should not become complacent. The warm weather and school holidays always bring their own round of criminal activities, so remember to take all the usual precautions; close and lock windows and doors when you are not around, do not leave yard tools unattended where they can be seen, and as always remove items of value from your vehicle, and protect it with an alarm or club. (Hondas are a particular favorite among car thieves right now).

Joe Biden's exaggeration

Joe Biden is an exaggerator? God this is too much! He always spoke exaggeratedly to the public, if you heard the news he said this statement “I remember President Bush saying to me one time in the Oval Office," Biden told CNN, "'Well, Joe,' he said, 'I'm a leader.' And I said: 'Mr. President, turn and around look behind you. No one is following.” And according to Bush aides that exchange was never took place and never happened. Joe Biden has lots of controversy about of being exaggerated. This is a serious problem as he is a vice president of United States, and he shouldn’t tell lies! if there's liars in the white house what people expect in the administration? That would be plenty! A group that includes Dr. Dean - who claimed that the Republican Party is racist, Pelosi- who cannot remember who she is or what she is saying one minute to the next, and ted Kennedy- who lied about leaving a drowning woman. Not only loyalty to the United States we lost but honesty as well.

Pres. Obama bow to the king of Saudi Arabia!

I was stunned when I heard the news about of pres. Obama bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia, and as you can see it was caught by the camera! But they Continuously refuse the truth in the fact that it was evidently caught by the camera. It’s obvious he is not much taller than a king! It's just stunning that the pres. Of United States bow to the king of Saudi Arabia like a servant, or is it part of the American culture? hmm. We heard some controversy that Pres. Obama is an Indonesian citizen and was born in Kenya and not in Hawaii and it was said by his grandmother, and he spent years in Pakistan before he entered in US, but his mother insisted that he was born in Hawaii and they refused to release the original birth certificate of him. We know that any President from United States must be born in United States, but pres. Obama has a birth certificate that he was born in Hawaii, what is the truth? And so what He is already a president of United States! right?

Package plan voting

A few days ago, obama’s administration had voting process about of package plan amendments; a bonus package the needs to spend trillions of dollars from the government, do you think that the government of US has this huge amount of money right now? The government will be drowning with debts then, in short the US government debts will become triple because of this spending and apparently it is making United states worse, Have you felt sad about this? Or maybe you don’t care! (Ha-ha).

However, the package plan has been declared to pursue on year 2010; since the voting package plan amendment had not won. Well, we should still appreciate those senators who were trying to oppose the plan. Is it confusing policy of US? How are they going to fix it? The Nation is always first before the people!

Obama born in Kenya?

Is it really true that Pres. Obama was not born in United States? If you don’t know then I don’t know either (ha-ha) but what if it were true? What would you think then? It says that president of United States must be born in U.S!

Pres. Obama’s socialism Policy/Plan

What is this Administration socialism economic plan or policy all about? the Administration taking and using money from the government to use for health care or this called stimulus package, Has it good impact? What about the America's future? Is it not risky especially the US is facing problem on financial market right now? Take note: United States financial market are facing storm right now and majority of people think it is not a time to take out a huge amount of money from the government to fulfill this plan. Yes, it true it helps people perhaps today but what about the nation and the future? Since the nation composed of people, what will happen to the people on the future? What will happen to America? Majority says administration should focus about the economic crisis and build a capitalism system to bring the US alive, and not to pursue socialism plan which is practically it could not help the America’s crisis right now and more on the future.
People still can’t understand what’s happening in the World today! Majority says America must be remained America, and loyalty is the best Policy, hopefully people in the America found that loyalty. Prayer is still the best weapon today whatever changes come!

Your idea about Stimulus Plan

Are you watching Television or Reading Newspapers? If so, you know that our Government Passed last Week a $787 Billion Dollar "Stimulus" Plan. So, what do you think about it right now? Maybe it’s just nothing! That's right, unless you are on Social Security whereby Our Government will be mailing a Whopping $ 250 1 time check to those On Social Security, you will have to Dig Deep to see where you will benefit from this New Stimulus Plan!

Apparently, this New Stimulus Plan is an opportunity to get your hands a piece of $2 Billion Dollars! All you have to do is know how to get your Piece of this $2 Billion Dollars that According to the Stimulus Plan will be made available starting march 4th, 2009! So this is a first come first serve type of deal our very own Government has made! What would be the advantages and disadvantages of this?

Asia most affected of crisis

Due to economic world crisis, the crisis raises risk of social unrest in Asia; Asia is the most affected continent by global economic crisis. Millions of people like Singapore have jobless, suddenly out of work, and many workers got lay off same as Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia. Since the United States financial market goes down and apparently, most big stock market is found in United States then obviously the other countries will be affected, United States is the best country in the world and we do hope that the economy would be fixed soon in order to save the world and the global economic crisis. Have you noticed that massive job losses are the serious problem in the world today? It is due to the lots of company has been closed, and unfortunately it's most happened in Asia.

Wow Manny Paquiao!

Wow it’s amazing! Boxing champion Manny paquiao is the number one from the lists of sports top 10, as the list of top fighters for February. Congratulation Manny Paquiao! Pacman is really the best boxer in today’s generation. Big salute for you! Keep up the good work. We are so proud of you!

Incident Happened in Grant Park Atlanta

Couple weeks ago there were many incidents happened in my neighborhood East Atlanta. Here is the latest crime news for the Grant Park beat of zone 3 from the beginning of December to mid-January:
1. There was a car-jacking in the 500 block of Grant Street.
2. There were 25 burglaries, which is more than usual.
3. There were 13 vehicle larcenies, which is fewer than usual.
4. There were 15 auto thefts, several of which were on the east side or along Woodward.
5. The trolley patrol is on the lookout for three young black males in their teens or early twenties, one with long dreadlocks. They were chased away from behind a house in the Benteen Park area. They were driving a 3-liter black jeep Wrangler with “Colonial Motors” on the spare tire. They were in an area that has been having burglary issues but they got away before the policed arrived. They were reported in Glenwood Park later the same night. One of these Juveniles is a 16-year-old Asian male who has been causing numerous problems in East Atlanta. There was also a burglary on Mead Street, again in the evening while the residents were at work. Most of the recent burglaries are targeting flat screen TVs. It is likely that criminals are casing the neighborhood in the evening looking for these valuable items. The areas of most concern are the SE quadrant of the community along Hill Street, and the SW section south of Ormond.

GPSP in Atlanta

GPSP in Atlanta stands for “Grant Park Security Patrol,” it is a non-profit corporation run by volunteers, and the membership cost $35 each quarter. GPSP use that money to hire off-duty city of Atlanta police officers to patrol the streets of Grant Park. During each patrol, the GPSP officer will usually pass each member’s house at least three times. If a member lets the GPSP know that they will be out of town, additional attention is paid to their house while they are away. Since GPSP began about twenty years ago, burglaries in the neighborhood have dropped by 70% and some of that dramatic decrease can be attributed to the work of the GPSP officers. GPSP is helping Atlanta’s street to make it safer, but many times also they were failed to get rid the bad people and incident in the street neighborhood.
