Christmas Eve is Near!

Are you excited guys in Christmas eve? Have you already prepared your Christmas gifts or present to your parents, brothers, sisters, relatives, and friends? And have you already done packing your present for exchanging  gift party? Anyway, what would you do in Christmas eve? Are you going to cook a roast beef with gravy? Are you going to have a big home party with your family and friends or are you preferring to travel to the other places? Honestly, I am so excited in the coming Christmas Eve, either I don't have gift or  have I can still feel the joyfulness and passion during Christmas. It would be great if I will be in my home town or home country with my family and relatives in Christmas! That would be awesome! Family reunion is always been the best.

One of my favorite portions in Christmas is the Exchanging gift party or Christmas celebration, well it is common everywhere - it even happens in the church, in schools, offices, homes, or any organizations, everywhere. Have you noticed that most group of people or organizations celebrate a Christmas party usually earlier before Christmas Eve? Well, because it simply means that the certain time (Christmas eve) is the ultimate time of Christmas season to spend to our family or loved ones. Veterans Day

What is Veterans Day? A Veterans Day is the day honoring military veterans every year. It is also celebrated as Armistice Day (Armistice Day is the anniversary of the symbolic end of World War I on 11 November 1918) or Remembrance Day (Remembrance Day also known as Poppy Day, Armistice Day or Veterans Day in which the day to commemorate the sacrifices of members of the armed forces and of civilians in times of war, especially since the First World War) in other parts of the world, falling on November 11, the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I.

On November 11th is a Veterans Day, it is a precious time to honor our veterans who died and sacrificed to fight in the service of the country. It is also referring to a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor U.S veterans and victims of all wars. It is the day to acknowledge and remembering the heroes' veterans who died and fought to the service of the country and people, it is an honorable Day to devote for them. Thanks for them.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Yesterday is my birthday- another new year and age for me again! Have you ever considered your new birthday a sad day? Since we were born we have been encouraged to be always happy by the time our birthdays come every year. However do you believe that the rest of us have felt sad on it? Why do they feel sad by the time their birthdays come? Honestly, it does not make sense to me then. Because some weird people think that by the time they reach a new age they will become older and that’s the reason it makes them feel bad by the time their birthdays come. But it is not really a healthy idea, it must be going to avoid. Your Birthday must be the most memorable day to you, and the time that you must be happy and thankful because God gives you another life extension, and by the time we reach the new age it’s a new hope and new life for us, since we have been given another year and another life/chance to live on the earth.

Every new birthday must be recognized and acknowledged as the happiest moment in our life since we have been given another new life and chance to live! That’s why we always celebrate our birthday every year as a symbol of gratefulness that we have had reached another year again.

This video is the recent concert of David Foster and Friends at Mandalay Bay (May, 09, 2009); this is my most favorite part when Charice sang the “Power of Love” she sings it very well, what a powerful voice of young diva Charice Pempengco. I love this song; this is one of my favorite songs! She indeed made the crowd of people stunned when she sang this song in Mandalay Bay. The funny thing is I watch this video a thousand times in YouTube I have never felt drowsy- it always makes me feel alive (LOL) I love to hear her voice all the time. I love to hear her stunning, soft, peculiar, and powerful (high pitch) voice. Indeed, she has a very unique voice in this new generation. The star is born! What is Mother’s Day?

First of all Happy Mother’s day to all mothers in the world! What is mother’s day to you? I’ve already greeted my mother today, did you? Apparently, Mother’s day is the family holiday of the year that dedicated to all mothers. Families in the world celebrated this mother’s day holiday to honor the mothers. Every different places or countries celebrated this in different or various days. Mother’s day holiday on the other hand was founded or created by Anna Marie Jarvis- a woman born in United States who first introduced and recognized the mother’s day holiday; she made a campaign day to honor mothers after her mother’s death.

However, many people in America also do not believe this honorable day since it was just created by one person and imitated by millions of people around the world, but there is nothing wrong to celebrate it though. Acknowledging this day is same you are giving honor your mother; a person who cares you since you were born, they deserve it indeed. As Christian people we believe things that must be respected, unless it is not against the law, so be proud to greet your mother today and give her your compassion as honoring her as your great mother in the world! Happy Easter to all Christians!

What do you feel about Easter? Has it valued to you? Well, it’s valuable! Eater day becomes a part of human’s life since it is a time when Jesus’ resurrected, a time when Jesus has backed and raised after he died and crucified, and a time for huge miracle and fulfillment of what has written in the holy book (that the son of God will be born and he will be killed and crucified from the hands of the sinners and will be risen).

Before Jesus Christ was crucified and died he already predicted and knew what will happen to him, and he said it must be fulfilled according to his father’s command. Easter is considered as annual religious feast; to commemorate and honor the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead after three days. Sunday is the 3rd day from his death and he rose; if we based on the calendar it was two days after Good Friday and three days after Maundy Thursday. Easter day or Easter Sunday may also refer to Resurrection day or resurrection Sunday. Again, Happy Easter to all Christians who believe him!

Holy week/holy Friday

Last week is a holy week, what did you do during holy week or holy Friday? How’s it important the Holy Friday to you? We also refer the holy Friday as “Good Friday,” “Great Friday,” or “Black Friday.” We considered that day a religious holiday in the world- to commemorate the crucifixion of our Jesus Christ ( the son of God) and his death, and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ happened during Good Friday in holy week.

The people or roman catholic church believes that fasting is perfect to do during a good Friday to clean your soul and sins ( like what Jesus did),and most of catholic people or Christian people have been doing fasting during holy Friday or within the holy week (when I was in my home-country we always do fasting during holy week). Because Christian people believe (but not generally) that it’s a time for repentance- and that our chance to ask forgiveness to our sins since Jesus Christ let himself crucified to clean the sinners; indeed, he saved the sins of the world. Celebrating the passion of Jesus Christ is honoring and commemorating his sacrificed for us (when he died in the cross). Jesus is always our light, our way, and our savior; the true believer of him must follow his steps, let’s love each other, love your enemy so that he will love you, and forgive your enemy so that he will forgive you.

The season of Lent

The Season of Lent is an important religious period for Christians everywhere. Not everyone is sure exactly what Lent signifies, but you’d nearly have to be raised on another planet not to be aware of Mardi Gras (Fat Tuesday) which has its origins in a custom associated with lent. Lent represents the forty day temptation of Christ in the desert. In most western churches it is calculated as the forty days before Eastern excluding Sundays. Mardi Gras is a time of feasting in order to have one last eating ( and often drinking) binge before the fasting and self-denial associated with the Season of Lent. The best known days within Lent are Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, and Good Friday.

Ash Wednesday is the first day of lent. The name comes from the custom of putting ashes on the forehead as a sign of repentance. We observe Ash Wednesday on February 25 this year. Maundy Thursday represents the day of the Last Supper of Christ with his disciples and the beginning of the sacrament of the Eucharist or Holy Communion. It is the Thursday before Easter, which falls on April 9 this year.

Ice Storm in US

Well I’m glad that I am living at the southeast part of the United States otherwise I need to deal this snow storm that harm people and hitting building and houses that cause several deaths, the major snow storm sounded like a gunfire, it’s blacking out thousands of homes and businesses, and schools and government offices were closed as a major ice storm spread from the southern plains to the east coast.

Holodomor Truth

First of all the word “Golodomor” have been transformed into “Holodomor” to make it sounds like “holocaust”, and therefore, could be considered as “genocide”. The origins of the word “holodomor” came from the Ukrainian words “holod” means “hunger” and "mor" means “plague”, or “to inflict death by hunger”. Now, what is holodomor? Holodomor is the famine that took place in Soviet Ukraine during the 1932-1933 agricultural seasons when the devastating famines also took place in several other regions of the USSR. It is considered one of the greatest national calamities to affect the Ukrainian nation in modern history. I can’t imagine this devastating disaster in the Soviet Union, in which there are about 6-8 million peasants deaths from Central Russia, Kazhastan, Ukraine, and North Causasus. Do you consider the Golodomor as genocide? Well, It maybe “no” or it may be “yes”. It says the reasons of the famine are the subject of intense scholarly and political debate, some historians considered it as an attack on Ukrainian nationalism while others said it was unintended consequence of the economic problems especially during the period of Soviet industrialization. On March 2008 the parliament of Ukraine and the governments of several countries have recognized the Soviet policies that caused the famine as an act of “genocide”. But, however, on October 2008 the European parliament during its resolution rejected to call the famine as “an act of genocide”. Which is the truth?
